Jared Leto Denies Sexual Assault Allegations in BBC Documentary
The BBC aired a documentary titled “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” in which ten women allege sexual misconduct by the Oscar‑winning actor and Thirty Seconds Mars frontman. Four of the accusers say the alleged incidents occurred when they were teenagers, aged 16‑19, between 2002 and 2016, and describe grooming, statutory rape and threats of sexual violence.
Leto has categorically denied every claim, stating, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.” No criminal charges have been filed against him. Talent agency WME continues to represent Leto, and the documentary’s producers say they are prepared for possible legal action. The film has also sparked renewed discussion of Leto’s past behavior on set, including unusual requests during the production of “Tron: Ares,” and a 2013 clip in which he praised “high school girls,” which resurfaced online after the documentary’s release.
