Jarikaba house fire kills three women from same family

Three women from the same family have died following a devastating house fire in Jarikaba, Suriname. The victims have been identified as 60-year-old Sita Jagroep, 34-year-old Madhvie Jagroep, and 68-year-old Rosa Jagroep.

The fire destroyed a low-rise house with an attic located on Robby Gadjradjweg, a side street of Mr. P. Chandhie Shawweg. The blaze also destroyed a vehicle. The fire was discovered by a family member returning from the interior, who found the house already burnt out. Firefighters located the remains of the three women in the bathroom.

Rosa Jagroep had traveled from the Netherlands to Suriname for her sister-in-law's 60th birthday and was scheduled to fly back this Tuesday. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and local police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
