Jarno Widar signs contract extension with Lotto‑Intermarché through 2028

Belgian climber Jarno Widar has renewed his contract with the Lotto‑Intermarché cycling team until the end of 2028. The 20‑year‑old rider, who rose to prominence with victories such as the Giro Next Gen and stage wins on the Tour de l’Avenir, said he feels “very good at Lotto‑Intermarché” and highlighted the trust and support the team provides for his development both as a cyclist and as a person.

Team manager Jean‑François Bourlart praised Widar’s progress, noting that the extension reflects the squad’s clear vision to nurture young talent. The rider will continue to race with the team in upcoming events, including his first Grand Tour start at La Vuelta.
