Jaron Ennis signs seven-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing

Two-division champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis has signed a new seven-fight agreement with Matchroom Boxing. The Philadelphia native, who currently holds the unified WBA and WBO super welterweight titles, expressed his intention to pursue the undisputed championship.

Ennis, who holds a record of 36-0 with 32 KOs, is targeting matchups against IBF champion Josh Kelly and WBC champion Sebastian Fundora. Following his seventh-round stoppage of Xander Zayasin in June, Ennis became a unified champion in his second weight class, having previously held the IBF and WBA belts at 147 lbs.

Regarding the 154-pound division, Ennis issued a warning to competitors, specifically addressing Fundora. Despite Fundora possessing a significant height and reach advantage, Ennis stated his intent to dominate the division and move toward becoming the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
