Jaroslav Naď reports verbal and physical attack in Senec
Jaroslav Naď, leader of the non-parliamentary Democrats, reported being the target of an unprovoked verbal and physical attack at a gas station in Senec. Naď stated that an individual used vulgar language, attempted to provoke a fight, and tried to extinguish a cigarette on his face.
Naď shared photos of the assailant and the vehicle involved on social media, characterizing the individual as someone who sympathizes with Russia and extremists. He also accused the man of dangerous driving toward Bratislava.
Despite the incident, Naď decided not to file a criminal complaint, expressing skepticism that such cases involving opposition politicians or journalists result in anything more than symbolic penalties. He linked the event to a broader rise in societal aggression and criticized the state for failing to adequately respond to hate speech and threats against critics of the government.
