Jarrett Payton joins Chicago's 104.3 The Score as morning co-host

Jarrett Payton has been named the new morning co-host for Chicago’s 104.3 The Score (WSCR), joining David Haugh. The move follows the departure of 23-year veteran Mike Mulligan, who was let go by the station on Friday.

Payton, the son of NFL legend Walter Payton, joins the station after an eleven-year tenure at WGN, where he served as a sports anchor and host. He recently departed WGN to spend more time with his family. Payton, a former professional football player with experience in the NFL, CFL, and NFL Europe, expressed honor in joining the team and continuing a legacy associated with his father.

The retooling of the morning show is expected to launch on August 31. In a separate move, midday co-host Marshall Harris was also let go, leaving Leila Rahimi and Mark Grote to host the midday program.
