Jaru begins demolition of old bus station for new terminal

Demolition has begun on the old bus station in Jaru, marking the first stage of construction for a new Interstate Bus Terminal. The project, managed by the Jaru City Hall, involves an estimated investment of R$ 10 million, funded by the Government of Rondônia.

The new facility is designed to feature modern boarding and disembarking areas, parking, taxi and motorcycle taxi stands, and a commercial gallery intended to house restaurants and other services. Local officials stated that the current structure no longer accommodates the volume of daily passengers and that the new terminal is necessary to support the municipality's growth.
