Jaseng Hospital hosts international integrative medicine conference in Indiana
Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine successfully concluded the 2026 Annual Jaseng Academic (AJA) International Conference in Indianapolis, USA. Co-hosted with the Indiana University School of Medicine, this sixth annual event marked the conference's first overseas session.
Under the theme ‘Meeting of East and West Medicine: An Integrative Approach to Musculoskeletal Health from Childhood to Old Age,’ the conference featured 50 speakers from prestigious institutions, including Harvard Medical School and the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Approximately 200 medical professionals attended to discuss topics ranging from pain management and musculoskeletal disorders to oncology, aging, and the application of artificial intelligence in integrative medicine.
Key presentations included Jin-ho Lee, Director of Jaseng Hospital, who introduced precision pharmacopuncture techniques using ultrasound to target secondary pain points. Richard Harris, a UCI professor, presented the ‘Topological Atlas and Repository of Acupuncture (TARA)’ platform to standardize acupoint research. Other discussions covered force-based manual therapy (FBM) models and the use of generative AI to enhance research efficiency in traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine (TCIM).
