Jasir Asani expected to rejoin Albania national team

Albanian forward Jasir Asani is expected to return to the national team for the upcoming Nations League matches in November against Finland and Belarus. Reports from Iranian media suggest that head coach Rolando Maran plans to issue an invitation to the striker, who has been absent from recent squads.

Asani is currently playing for Esteghlal in Iran, where he has maintained strong form despite recent legal challenges. The Iranian Football Federation recently ruled that his contract with Esteghlal is valid, dismissing complaints from rival clubs, such as Persepolis, that sought to prevent him from playing this season. While the matter may still be appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, his eligibility in the Iranian league has been secured.

His return would provide a tactical option for Albania in the right-wing attacking position, an area where the team has struggled in recent matches.
