Jasir Asani scores for Esteghlal in Persian Gulf Pro League draw

Albanian footballer Jasir Asani played a central role in Esteghlal's 1-1 draw against Chadormalu in the Persian Gulf Pro League. The 31-year-old scored in the 30th minute with a deflected shot and was involved in several other key attacking plays, including an assist that was disallowed due to offside.

Despite Asani's performance, which included a yellow card in the 65th minute and a late appeal for a penalty, Esteghlal was unable to secure a victory. The draw leaves Esteghlal with 20 points after 10 weeks, placing them level on points with title rivals Tractor and Persepolis.
