Jason Aldean criticizes traditional concert encores
Country singer Jason Aldean has expressed his dislike for the traditional concert encore, calling the practice “stupid.” During his 2026 Songs About Us Tour, Aldean informed fans that he does not intend to leave the stage only to return after a period of cheering.
Aldean explained to a crowd in Minneapolis/St. Paul that he views the routine of an artist going backstage while fans wait for more music as a waste of time. Instead, he prefers to play all of his material upfront, stating that once the show is finished, it is officially over.
