Jason Kelce faces fan criticism and uses humor during Eagles-Jaguars broadcast
Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce faced mixed reactions during his NFL Network broadcast of the Eagles vs. Jaguars game. During the telecast, Kelce used self-deprecating humor to discuss his weight loss journey, joking that he once weighed approximately 300 pounds and noting that his BMI would technically classify him as obese.
Kelce also used the platform to praise Jaguars defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton for stepping in as an emergency long snapper following an injury to starter Ross Matiscik. His broadcast partner, Kurt Warner, responded to Kelce’s weight comments by suggesting he was merely “husky.”
Despite the lighthearted moments, Kelce faced criticism from fans on social media. Some viewers accused him of showing clear bias toward his former team, the Eagles, with some fans calling for him to be removed from Eagles-related broadcasts due to perceived “homer” commentary.
