Jason Libbert Appointed President and CEO of Pensacola Sports

Jason Libbert has been named the new president and chief executive officer of Pensacola Sports, the nonprofit organization that promotes sports tourism in Northwest Florida. Libbert returns after a 12‑year tenure as director of events, during which he helped recruit and manage many of the board’s signature competitions and bolstered the region’s reputation as a premier sports destination. He brings more than two decades of experience in sports management, event operations, marketing, and sponsorship development.

Libbert succeeds Ray Palmer, who is retiring after nearly 25 years of leadership that transformed Pensacola Sports into one of the nation’s most respected sports‑tourism agencies. The board highlighted Libbert’s deep knowledge of the organization’s culture and his commitment to using sports to improve quality of life and economic vitality in the area. The appointment is seen as a continuation of the organization’s mission to attract major sporting events, generate economic impact, and strengthen community partnerships across Northwest Florida.
