Jason R. Anderson Sentenced to 35 Years for Child Sexual Abuse in New Jersey

Jason R. Anderson, a 44‑year‑old resident of Haddon Heights, New Jersey, pleaded guilty to first‑degree aggravated sexual assault, first‑degree endangering the welfare of a child by manufacturing child sexual abuse material, and third‑degree failure to register as a Megan’s Law offender. Under the plea agreement he must serve 25 years without parole on the aggravated assault charge pursuant to the Jessica Lunsford Act, followed by an additional 10‑year term subject to the No Early Release Act, requiring 85 % of that time before parole eligibility – a total of 35 years. Sentencing is scheduled for October 30, 2026.

The case was investigated by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit, Haddon Heights Police Department, Detective Todd Jarrell and Lieutenant Michael Smollock. Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay said the plea “holds the defendant accountable while protecting the victim and her family from the ordeal of a public trial.” Section Chief Rachael Minardi prosecuted the case. Anderson remains in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending sentencing.
