Jason Statham action film ‘Shelter’ trailer released

A special trailer has been released for the upcoming revenge spy action film ‘Shelter’, starring Jason Statham. Directed by Rick Roman War, the film follows Michael Mason, a former special forces operative on a national ‘hit list’, who lives in seclusion on a remote island off the coast of Scotland. His life changes after he rescues a young girl named Jessie from a storm, leading to a confrontation with MI6 as he attempts to protect her.

In Japan, the film is scheduled for release on August 28, 2026. To mark the premiere, a limited number of ‘Goshute-in’ cards—designed in the style of traditional Japanese temple stamps (Goshuin)—will be distributed to attendees. The cards feature calligraphy, imagery of a lighthouse and stormy waves, and the film’s catchphrase, ‘I will protect her’.
