Jason Statham stars in new action thriller Mutiny
The action thriller Mutiny, starring Jason Statham, has been released. Directed by Jean-François Richet, the film follows Cole Reed, a former Royal Marine and police officer working as a security chief in Bangkok.
After his employer, shipping magnate Tibu Campallo, is murdered during an ambush, Reed is framed for the crime. The plot follows his attempt to clear his name as he infiltrates a cargo ship, uncovering a global conspiracy involving human trafficking and illegal arms trading.
Critical reception has been mixed. While some reviewers praise the film as solid action entertainment with a strong final fight, others describe the pacing as slow and the characters as weak, comparing the setup to a maritime version of Die Hard.
