Jason Statham's new film Mutiny receives mixed critical reviews

Jason Statham’s latest action thriller, ‘Mutiny’, directed by Jean-François Richet, has seen a mixed to negative critical reception upon its theatrical release. The film, which follows a former cop turned bodyguard framed for murder, has earned a Rotten Tomatoes score ranging between 43% and 49%, marking one of the lower points in Statham’s recent critical standing.

Critics have described the film as a “Die Hard on a boat” premise, with some praising the inventive fight sequences and the inclusion of Annabelle Wallis as a more substantial female character. However, others have criticized the film as “aimless, dull, and uninspired,” noting that it adheres closely to Statham’s established action formula.

Lionsgate is handling the theatrical release. While the film is currently in theaters, it is expected to eventually become available for digital purchase and rental on Amazon Prime Video due to existing distribution deals.
