Jason Sudeikis discusses ‘Ted Lasso’ future and personal reflections

Jason Sudeikis, star and co-creator of the Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’, has provided updates regarding the show’s future and reflected on his personal life during an appearance on the ‘Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso’ podcast.

Regarding the series, Sudeikis expressed interest in continuing with a fifth and potentially sixth season, stating he “would like to” and believes there is “more in it.” However, he clarified that a writers’ room has not yet been established and no official renewal has been confirmed by Apple TV+ following the conclusion of season four.

Sudeikis also shared deeply personal reflections, revealing that working on the series helped him cope with thoughts of self-harm. Additionally, he addressed his 2020 split from former fiancée Olivia Wilde, noting that media coverage often simplified their relationship into a binary of “right and wrong” when it was actually more complex. He expressed regret over past communication issues but praised Wilde’s professional success.
