Jason Watkins honors late daughter Maude on 18th birthday

British actor Jason Watkins has shared an emotional tribute to his late daughter, Maude, on what would have been her 18th birthday. Watkins and his wife, Clara Francis, lost Maude in 2011 at the age of two due to undiagnosed sepsis.

Sharing a photograph of Maude on Instagram, the BAFTA-winning actor reflected on the life she might have lived as an adult, stating, “Who knows what she would have done with her precious life. How would she have strode through it?” He expressed that the love they have for her has never stopped.

Watkins and Francis serve as patrons of Child Bereavement UK. The actor has previously spoken about the difficulty of returning to work following his daughter's death, noting that while he continued working for financial reasons, the all-consuming nature of acting served as a form of therapy.
