Jastrowie Hosts 20th Grand Prix Long-Distance Swimming Event

The 20th Grand Prix Wielkopolski in Long‑Distance Swimming took place on 2 August 2026 on the municipal beach by the lake in Jastrowie, Poland. The competition was organised by the Mayor of Jastrowie, Ewa Winkowska, together with the Wielkopolski Okręgowy Związek Pływacki. Participants raced over two open‑water distances – up to 1 000 m and 3 000 m – with the event also featuring the Mayor’s Cup swimming races.

The program included educational tents staffed by the local fire brigade, police and health officials, as well as a rescue demonstration by the WOPR Złotów. All Jastrowie residents received diplomas, while the top male and female swimmers were awarded trophies. The event was financed by the Wielkopolska regional authority and supported by local partners, including the Jastrowie Cultural Centre and Restaurant Ratatuj.
