RSKJ Soeprapto official named suspect in Bengkulu recruitment corruption

The Head of Secretariat at the Soeprapto Special Psychiatric Hospital (RSKJ) in Bengkulu, identified by the initials YS, has been named a suspect in a corruption case involving the recruitment of non-ASN (honorary) staff.

Investigations by the Bengkulu Regional Police (Polda Bengkulu) revealed that between 2023 and 2024, the hospital management recruited 93 honorary workers without proper planning or selection processes. This recruitment violated government regulations regarding the management of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) and the ASN Law.

The alleged modus operandi involved candidates being asked to pay money for positions, as well as influence from certain parties and family members. The state's financial losses are currently being calculated, and authorities are continuing to investigate potential involvement by other parties.
