Veteran centre back Javi Sanz, 29, has confirmed his place as the thirteenth signing for Confía Base Oviedo ahead of the 2026‑27 season in Spain’s Division of Honor Plata. The Palencia‑born player, now entering his fourth consecutive year with the Oviedo side, highlighted his enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign under new coach Pablo Galech, noting the experience gained from last season’s fight for league survival.

Sanz joins a list of renewed players that includes Juan Gamallo, Jayro Pérez and others, while the club also added newcomers Fabricio de Souza, Pablo González and Lucas Santos to the roster.
