Valencia CF draws 2-2 with Racing Santander in Javier Aguirre debut

Valencia CF secured a 2-2 draw against Racing de Santander in LaLiga Matchday 8, marking the debut of new manager Javier Aguirre. Dani Raba opened the scoring for Valencia within the first two minutes, but Racing responded with goals from Yassir Zabiri and Iván Martín to take a 2-1 lead.

Eighteen-year-old substitute David Otorbi rescued a point for Valencia in the 65th minute, scoring his first LaLiga goal and becoming one of the youngest scorers in the club's history. Despite the comeback, Valencia missed late opportunities to win the match.

Aguirre praised his players' attitude and fighting spirit following the result, noting that the team showed resilience after a difficult first half. The draw helps Valencia move off the bottom of the table, though the club continues to face challenges in its quest for stability in the league.
