Javier Bardem calls for Adidas boycott over controversial ad

Oscar-winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem has publicly called for a boycott of Adidas following a controversial advertising campaign. Bardem criticized the German sportswear giant for featuring a former Israeli soldier, who lost a leg while serving in the military during attacks on Gaza, as the face of its ‘one shoe service’ campaign.

Using his social media accounts, Bardem shared content from pro-Palestinian organizations and activists, stating, “Adidas chose a man with blood on his hands.” He encouraged his followers to sabotage the campaign and stop purchasing the brand's products.

This is not the first time Bardem has taken a stance against the company. During the last FIFA World Cup, he wore a green jersey instead of the traditional red Spanish national team kit to avoid association with Adidas. He has also used international platforms like the Emmy Awards and Goya Awards to express his opposition to the conflict.
