Javier Cerfoglio harasses filmmaker behind Magalí Vera documentary
Javier Cerfoglio, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on April 13 for the murder of Magalí Vera, continues to harass those involved in the case from the Batán prison. Cerfoglio is accused of brutally attacking Vera and throwing her unconscious in the trunk of a car into the Quequén River in Necochea.
The filmmaker Fabián Pérez Battaglini, director of the documentary ‘El sueño de Magalí’, has faced legal attempts by Cerfoglio and his father to block the film's release. The documentary is scheduled for a free screening at the Argentine Congress of the Nation this Tuesday.
Lawmakers Federico Pelli and Aldo Adolfo Leiva, who supported the screening, have expressed concerns regarding security following reports of harassment directed at the filmmaker.
