Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández cites masculinity issues in divorce and defends Cristiano Ronaldo

In a recent podcast, Mexican striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernández said his lack of masculinity and his ex‑wife Sarah Kohan’s lack of femininity contributed to their divorce. He acknowledged that both partners failed to fulfill the roles they expected, stating, “A mi exesposa le faltó ser muchísimo más femenina y a mí me faltó ser muchísimo más masculino,” and reflected on the experience as a hard‑learned lesson.

In a separate interview, Hernández defended Cristiano Ronaldo against accusations of arrogance, describing the Portuguese forward as a competitive athlete rather than an egotist. He said, “Nunca he considerado arrogante a Cristiano. Es una idea equivocada,” and highlighted Ronaldo’s drive to be the best. Hernández also mentioned his upcoming involvement with Atlético Dallas in the United States, aiming to grow the sport at the youth level.
