Javier Chicharito Hernández throws first pitch for Hispanic Heritage Weekend

Javier Chicharito Hernández threw out the ceremonial first pitch during a game between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays to mark the start of Hispanic Heritage Weekend. Accompanied by Alejandro Osuna, the former Mexican national team striker participated in the event at Globe Life Field.

The Texas Rangers defeated the Blue Jays with a score of 7-1. The game also featured the Major League debut of Mexican reliever José Rodríguez for Toronto, who recorded his first strikeout despite the loss. The Hispanic Heritage Weekend celebrations are scheduled to continue through Sunday, September 20.
