Javier Hernández visits Tokyo for authentic sushi

Former Mexican international striker Javier Hernández, widely known as ‘Chicharito’, has revealed his visit to Japan via social media. The 38-year-old, who previously played for major clubs including Manchester United and Real Madrid, shared videos on Instagram showing him traveling to Japan and enjoying authentic sushi.

Hernández, who was a former teammate of Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa during their time at Manchester United, posted that he ‘needed to go to the authentic place’ to eat. His social media updates included footage of him at the airport and using chopsticks to eat sushi in Tokyo.

Currently in his off-season, the striker is set to join Atletico Dallas in the USL Championship starting in the 2027 season.
