Javier Jamaica wins second stage of Volta de Santa Catarina

Colombian cyclist Javier Jamaica of the Nu Colombia team won the second stage of the Volta Ciclística de Santa Catarina, taking the overall leader's yellow jersey. The stage covered approximately 135 km, starting and finishing at the Santuário de Nossa Senhora de Lourdes e do Louvor in Ituporanga, featuring over 2,000 meters of elevation gain.

Colombian riders dominated the stage results, occupying the top five positions. Rodrigo Contreras (Nu Colombia) finished second, followed by Diego Camargo (Medellín EPM) in third, with Cristian Montoya and Daniel Alejandro Méndez rounding out the top five.

Thales Areias of the Andbank Cycling Team was the highest-placed Brazilian, finishing sixth in the stage and sitting sixth in the general classification, 32 seconds behind Jamaica. Other notable Brazilian performances included Bruno Martins, who finished seventh in the stage and seventh overall, and Gustavo Xavier de Oliveira, who holds ninth place in the general classification.
