Javier Marías: New anthology released on fourth anniversary of death

The literary community marks the fourth anniversary of the death of Spanish writer Javier Marías, who passed away on September 11, 2022.

To commemorate the occasion, the publishing house Alfaguara will release a new volume titled ‘Here I Stop’ on September 10. This collection features 66 texts written by Marías between 2001 and 2020, including essays, articles, speeches, and forewords. The compilation, organized by editor Inés Blanca, includes previously unpublished material and covers diverse subjects such as politics, literature, film, and football.

The anthology is divided into thematic sections, including reflections on his own life, his creative process, social and political commentary, and his passion for cinema and sports.
