Javier May launches 120 million peso electrical substation in Tabasco
Tabasco Governor Javier May Rodríguez has officially launched the construction of a new electrical substation in the Yokot’an indigenous zone of Tamulté de las Sabanas, located in the Centro municipality. The project involves an investment of 120 million pesos and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Managed by the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the facility will be built on land donated by the community in the José G. Asmitia ejido. Once operational, the substation will provide a stable and reliable power supply to approximately 20,548 residents in the area and surrounding communities.
The new infrastructure will restructure the local distribution scheme, increasing the number of circuits from two to four. This expansion is designed to improve grid stability and accommodate rising regional energy demands. The project follows previous federal planning and aims to address long-standing energy needs in the region.
