Javier Milei criticizes Pedro Sánchez over Ceuta migration policy

Argentine President Javier Milei criticized Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during a speech at The Economic Club of New York, accusing him of having ‘traicionado a su propio pueblo’ (betrayed his own people) regarding migration policies in Ceuta.

Milei characterized the Spanish government as a ‘curious mixture between anarchy and tyranny’ and claimed that uncontrolled immigration is turning areas into zones of chaos and violence. He suggested that these policies are maintained to secure votes for Sánchez to remain in power.

In contrast, Milei highlighted his own administration's approach, stating that Argentina has tightened controls and deported 20,000 people so far this year to avoid the issues currently affecting Europe. He concluded by presenting Argentina as a prime destination for international investment in sectors such as energy, mining, agribusiness, and artificial intelligence.
