Javier Milei dismisses most civilian staff at Olivos residence

President Javier Milei has dismissed nearly all civilian staff at the Quinta de Olivos presidential residence. The decision follows two primary incidents: the leak of information regarding a 500 million peso expenditure for 29 tons of meat, and the sudden illness of one of the president's dogs. Sources indicate Milei suspects the dog's condition may have been an attempted poisoning.

While official explanations cite security changes, the dismissals include long-standing staff such as the gardener. Most of the 12 displaced workers are being replaced by personnel from the Armed Forces, including a lieutenant serving as a cook.

The reshuffle also impacts the staff connected to Belén Agudiez, an associate of Karina Milei. Allegations have surfaced regarding nepotism within the General Secretariat of Planning, involving the hiring of relatives of Agudiez. Deputy Marcela Pagano has also raised concerns regarding recent bidding processes.
