Javier Milei faces declining approval ratings in Argentina
Recent polling data from Giacobbe Consultores indicates a decline in the public image of Argentine President Javier Milei. According to the report conducted between August 24 and 30, 2026, Milei holds a 36.1% positive image rating, while 55.7% of respondents view his image negatively, creating a gap of nearly 20 percentage points.
The survey, which sampled 2,500 cases across Argentina with a margin of error of +/- 2%, highlights a fragmented political landscape. Other major political figures also face high disapproval ratings: Mauricio Macri holds a 36% positive and 52.5% negative rating, Cristina Kirchner maintains a 34.8% positive and 52.2% negative rating, Axel Kicillof sits at 31.2% positive and 49.2% negative, and Patricia Bullrich shows 27.9% positive and 55.6% negative. Vice President Victoria Villarruel recorded a 21% positive and 58.7% negative rating.
