Javier Milei sparks controversy at ORT school visit

Argentine President Javier Milei has sparked controversy following a presentation at the ORT school in Buenos Aires. During his talk, which was intended to address ethics and artificial intelligence, Milei criticized the political opposition and the press. He reportedly encouraged students to boo journalists, an action that drew criticism from former ORT director Adrián Moscovich, who argued that educational institutions should not be used to deepen political confrontation.

The incident has caused internal friction within the Daia (Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas). Community leaders have reportedly blamed Daia president Mauro Berenstein for promoting the visit without broad consultation, amid speculation that the move was intended to strengthen ties with the government.

National Deputy Marcela Pagano also condemned the event, accusing the President of using the school setting for political campaigning rather than education. Pagano noted that the President spent much of the 40-minute session attacking opponents and media outlets, characterizing the visit as a form of indoctrination of adolescents.
