Javier Milei to visit Washington for Hispanic Heritage Gala and business meetings

Argentine President Javier Milei is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., departing Buenos Aires on Tuesday, October 13. This visit marks his fifth trip to the United States this year and focuses on strengthening ties with American business leaders and conservative political figures.

A primary event of the trip is the Official Hispanic Heritage Gala at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, where Milei will serve as the guest of honor. The gala is organized by Latino Wall Street and La Derecha Diario. Attendees are expected to include various political leaders, investors, and diplomats, including Eduardo Bolsonaro.

Additionally, Milei is slated to participate in an activity with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. During this engagement, he is expected to present his economic program and receive the ‘World Champion of Free Enterprise’ recognition. The agenda also includes a meeting at the Argentine Embassy focused on combating antisemitism, organized in coordination with the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).

While no official bilateral meetings with the U.S. presidency have been confirmed, the trip is viewed as a reinforcement of the political alignment between the Milei administration and the Republican party.
