Javier Pretto suspended from driving for 60 days

Javier Pretto, the Vice Mayor of Córdoba, confirmed he was prohibited from driving for 60 days following a series of traffic violations. The suspension resulted from the loss of all points on his driver's license due to infractions detected by the Policía Caminera on provincial routes.

Pretto explained that the incidents occurred in June during a trip to La Carlota. He was fined for exceeding the speed limit while towing a trailer on the Rosario Highway, where the maximum allowed speed for such vehicles is 80 km/h. A subsequent control confirmed a second speeding violation.

While the initial penalty was a 120-day suspension, Pretto appealed the duration, and a court reduced the term to 60 days. The official stated that he paid all fines within 48 hours and did not seek any special treatment or privileges due to his public office. The suspension period ended on July 27, and his license has since been reinstated.
