Javier Rehl proposes pardon for Cristina Fernández de Kirchner

Javier Rehl, the Undersecretary of Electoral and Parliamentary Affairs for the Province of Buenos Aires, has proposed that a future Peronist government should grant a pardon to Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Rehl described such a move as a significant political act.

Rehl also discussed the development of the Movimiento Derecho al Futuro (MDF), a national movement recently led by Governor Axel Kicillof in Villa Domínico. While Kicillof has avoided formalizing presidential candidacy, Rehl characterized the movement as a federal effort focused on political accumulation and building a broad alternative that includes various sectors of the national and popular camp. Rehl noted the decline of Peronist territorial power, observing that the party has gone from administering 21 provinces to five over the last decade.
