Javier Rodríguez to premiere new compositions in Sydney

Spanish composer and concert pianist Javier Rodríguez will present ‘The Silent Mediterranean’ in Sydney on November 5, 2026. The 75-minute concert, organized by the Instituto Cervantes Sydney and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Sydney, features two newly commissioned works designed to foster cultural dialogue between Spain and Italy.

The program includes the Sydney premiere of ‘Pietra e Mare’ and the world premiere of ‘The Silent Mediterranean’. Additionally, the performance will feature ‘La puerta sin Puerta’, a cross-disciplinary collaboration with architect Enrique Blanco de Córdova that integrates music with elements of space, light, and material.
