Javier Tebas declares relationship with Real Madrid unrepairable

La Liga president Javier Tebas has intensified his conflict with Real Madrid, stating that his relationship with club president Florentino Pérez is “unrepairable” as long as Pérez remains in power. Tebas criticized the club for attacking the integrity of the competition following controversial refereeing decisions during a recent derby.

Addressing specific incidents involving Jude Bellingham and Lee Kang-in, Tebas defended the league's officiating. While acknowledging errors, he rejected claims that the competition was “adulterated” or rigged. He specifically noted that the incident involving Lee Kang-in, while potentially deserving of a red card, was not as flagrant as suggested by critics.

Tebas also responded to harsh rhetoric from Real Madrid TV, which suggested referees required weapons to perform their duties. He characterized such attacks as a lack of respect toward the league, its clubs, and the fans, asserting that his duty as president is to defend the competition against such accusations.
