Javon Walton to face Henry Cejudo at Misfits Boxing Miami event

Javon Walton, an actor and professional boxer under the Most Valuable Promotions banner, has stepped in to face Henry Cejudo at a Misfits Boxing event in Miami on September 26. Walton replaces Nurideen ‘Deen The Great’ Shabazz, who was forced to withdraw from the matchup due to injury.

The bout represents a collaboration between Misfits Boxing and Most Valuable Promotions. Walton, 20, enters the fight with an undefeated record. He will face Cejudo, a 39-year-old Olympic gold medalist and former two-division UFC champion making his entry into the influencer boxing scene.

Misfits Boxing Co-President Mams Taylor noted Walton’s immediate willingness to accept the challenge on short notice. MVP executive Nakisa Bidarian described the matchup as a significant opportunity for Walton to compete against a decorated combat sports veteran.
