Javontae Campbell commits to Cincinnati Bearcats
Javontae Campbell, a standout guard from Bowling Green, has committed to transfer to the University of Cincinnati. Campbell, a 6-foot-2 guard, enters the Bearcats program as a highly decorated player, having been named the 2025-26 MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
During his most recent season with the Falcons, Campbell averaged 18.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He also led Division I in steals, averaging 3.0 per game. His efficiency was notable, shooting 50.0% from the field. He also recently gained experience playing in the NBA Summer League with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Campbell joins a significant wave of transfers as Cincinnati prepares for the first season under head coach Jerrod Calhoun. The roster is expected to feature 13 transfers as the team works toward returning to the NCAA Tournament.
