Jawa Tengah clinches fifth straight national junior archery title

The Jawa Tengah contingent won the overall championship at the MilkLife Archery Challenge Kejurnas Junior 2026, held at Supersoccer Arena in Kudus from 22‑29 July 2026. The event, organised by Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, Persatuan Panahan Indonesia (Perpani) and sponsor MilkLife, featured 80 young archers (U10, U13, U15, U18) competing in recurve, compound and national divisions.

Jawa Tengah collected 26 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze medals, securing its fifth consecutive overall title since 2022. Team leader Martin Sudarmono said the squad’s consistent performance reflects strong talent development and hopes the athletes will progress to senior events such as Popnas and the senior national championship. PB Perpani vice‑president Abdul Razak highlighted the competition’s role in building a sustainable archery ecosystem and noted the rising quality of Indonesia’s youth archers.

Individual highlights included Jabr Rajaa’Challe’s gold in the U15 men’s individual national category and his team’s gold in the U15 men’s national team event.
