Jawa Tengah universities hold tennis tournament to foster collaboration

The LLDIKTI Wilayah VI Tennis Tournament is being held in Central Java from August 28 to 30, 2026, serving as a platform for collaboration among regional higher education institutions. The event is a joint effort between LLDIKTI Wilayah VI, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus), and Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS), with matches taking place across three different tennis court locations.

Central Java Regional Secretary Sumarno encouraged universities in the province to strengthen their cooperation, noting that unified steps between campuses are essential for advancing the quality of higher education. He also highlighted the tournament as a means to promote healthy lifestyles and build values of sportsmanship and integrity that can be applied in professional environments.

The tournament features approximately 150 participants from 23 private universities, organized into 75 pairs. Competition categories include doubles for ages 80, 90, and 100, as well as a newly introduced executive doubles category.
