Jay Idzes targets early return to Sassuolo lineup

Sassuolo defender and Indonesia national team captain Jay Idzes is aiming for an accelerated return to action following a thigh injury. While he is expected to miss the upcoming Serie A match against Lazio, local reports suggest he may be available for the fixture against Fiorentina on November 3, 2026.

Idzes has been sidelined since September 14, 2026, after playing in Sassuolo’s 3-2 victory over Juventus. During his absence, the team has struggled, securing only one point from four matches. The club is currently working to stabilize its defensive performance as it navigates the 2026/2027 Serie A season.
