Jay-Z premieres HBO docuseries ‘JAY-Z IN 8’ in New York

The HBO docuseries ‘JAY-Z IN 8’ held its star-studded premiere at New York’s Metropolitan Opera House. The eight-part series features conversations between Jay-Z and producer Rick Rubin, exploring the rapper’s three-decade career, creative process, and the evolution of his music.

During the event, Jay-Z reflected on the personal nature of the project, noting that while he is proud of the work, he expects his children—Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi—might find some moments ‘cringe’. He also discussed the concept of ‘manifesting’ his success through the lyrics written on early albums like ‘Reasonable Doubt’.

Jay-Z also used the occasion to praise his wife, Beyoncé, describing her as a ‘phenomenal producer and writer’ and a ‘fearless’ artist whose studio instincts often go underappreciated due to her dominant presence as a performer.
