Jay‑Z marks Reasonable Doubt’s 30th anniversary with star‑studded Yankee Stadium shows

Jay‑Z opened a three‑night residency at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on July 10, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt. The rapper debuted a low‑cut Caesar haircut and performed a 24‑song set that included album classics such as “Politics As Usual,” “Brooklyn’s Finest,” “Dead Presidents” and “D’evils.” Special guests included Beyoncé, who sang the hook on “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” and their daughter Blue Ivy, who played piano on “Feelin’ It.” Other appearances were made by Nas (performing “World Is Yours,” “NY State of Mind” and “Where I’m From”), Alicia Keys (singing “Empire State of Mind”), Memphis Bleek (“Coming of Age”), Jaz‑O (“Bring It On”) and a surprise cameo by Lil Mama was hinted at. Mid‑show Jay‑Z delivered a freestyle addressing criticism of his Target partnership and highlighted his work with the REFORM Alliance. The concerts drew a star‑filled audience that included LeBron James, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Hart and Leonardo DiCaprio. The second night will honor the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, with a final show slated for July 12 and additional dates later in the year in London, Paris and Los Angeles.
