Jayapura car accident kills two after vehicle catches fire

A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred at the Ringroad intersection in the South Jayapura District, Jayapura City, on Sunday morning. A silver Daihatsu Gran Max was traveling from the direction of Jembatan Merah toward the Entrop area when the driver reportedly lost control due to high speed.

The vehicle struck a road barrier, causing it to crash and catch fire. The driver and one passenger were trapped inside the burning vehicle and died at the scene. Local police have secured the area and are conducting investigations to confirm the identities of the victims and the exact cause of the accident.
