Papua relief efforts support fire victims in Paniai and Jayapura

Various organizations and institutions are providing humanitarian aid and cleanup assistance to victims of recent fires in Papua.

In Paniai Regency, Bhayangkari Daerah Papua Tengah distributed 24 packages of aid, including clothing, blankets, food, and hygiene products, to residents who lost homes and belongings. The aid was delivered to the Paniai Fire Relief Post in Nabire.

In Jayapura, the SMK Kesehatan Jayapura school community provided solidarity assistance to residents of the Mandala district. Additionally, hundreds of personnel from Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih, including units from Lantamal X and various battalions, were deployed to the Kampung Nelayan complex in Mandala to help residents clear debris from the fire sites and distribute aid to affected families.
