Jayden Daniels faces health management focus heading into Year 3

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels enters his third professional season facing both renewed expert validation and concerns regarding his physical durability. In the inaugural FanSided Quarterback Rankings, a panel of experts placed Daniels at No. 12, categorizing him as a ‘Strong QB1’ and ranking him ahead of several established veterans.

However, Daniels is working to recover from an injury-plagued 2025 campaign where he completed only four games. Analysts, including Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, suggest that Daniels must learn to manage his physical workload to avoid further injury. Breer noted that the quarterback needs to be more selective about when to exert maximum effort, rather than attempting to carry the team on every play, a strategy that contributed to his limited availability last season.
